There are few women who can make magic both in front and behind the camera.
Bunny
Yeager is such a woman. At the start of her career, she was known
as a beach-bound blond bombshell, pin-up cover girl and beauty pageant
queen. She designed her own swimsuits and photo shoot outfits, and even
spent a little time trying to make a business from her designs. In the
mid-50's, she decided to take a stab at the technical side of the business,
and became one the most admired and recognized glamour photographers ever.
Because of her experiences as a model, she had a knack for getting the
best out of her models. Her most impressive work is with pinup goddess Bettie
Page. It was
Yeager who sent shots of Page
off to Playboy founder
Hugh Hefner, who, in
turn, made Page January 1955's "Playmate of the Month."
Yeager remained active through her 80's publishing collections of her works and taking photos of the current generation of pin-up models. She passed away on May 25, 2014.
