Glamour Girls"Glamour Girls--The Illustrated Encyclopedia"
by Steve Sullivan
St. Martin's Griffin, 1999
If you've spent any time surfing this site, you know that Steve Sullivan is the man to go to when talking about glamour gals, past and present. Not only does he get great pictures from these women, but he gets detailed histories and appearances. He two other books, "Va Va Voom" and "Bombshells" and his website "Glamour Girls Then And Now" are a must for fan of the pin-up. "Glamour Girls--The Illustrated Encyclopedia" takes a different approach to these pin-up queens. Instead of in-depth features, Sullivan does the seemly impossible and rates the top 1000 all-time glamour queens. On top of that, he adds hundreds of more women who didn't make the 1000 cut. It almost boggles the mind that he even attempted such a feat, but he did and it's amazing. Not only does he rate these women, but includes a quick bio on all and includes some amazing photos of these women. If you ever has a question on a women you've seen in a men's magazine--this is the go-to book to find more. By now, I'm sure you're wondering who he thinks the top ten glamour girls are. Well, here's the list:

1. Marilyn Monroe
2. Raquel Welch
3. Jayne Mansfield
4. Brigitte Bardot
5. Rita Hayworth
6. Bettie Page
7. Sophia Loren
8. Jean Harlow
9. June Wilkinson
10. Cindy Crawford
